So nice to catch up and be able to hear your trumpet playing, once again, since our days at The Presidio. I was happy to see you use the "airplane 6th Army photo" on your website. I was just at dinner with Tom Vanarsdel (12/15/3007) and we went through those 6th Army photos that I took during that trip. Brought back many memories and names from the past. Your compositions and performances on the CD's are really beautiful. I am glad to know you are doing well and enhancing our world of music through your CD's, performances, clinics and books. What a blessing it was to know you back in our Army days at The Presidio and to see where you have gone since then. Best Wishes, Howard Pink

Hello Tony,
I was listening to NPR tonight in Phoeix, and Chris Botti was talking about how really hard it was to play the trumpet, 'you either had it or did not'... This immediately brought back memories of myself trying to play at the ripe age of 11.
Funny how a passing comment can take on back to the past and how memories become so vidid. During that same period I remember a kid about my age that defined the term "superstar" way before it was ever coined. I believe that was YOU. Unless there is another Anthony Horwitz that attended George K Porter JRHS and played at our 1961 graduation?
Enjoyed your website keep the legend going.
